Beyond the Table

Ugh that photo. I just want to be in paradise right now but I just love the composition and the colors!

First, I didn’t know Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were even together (have I been living under a rock? probably) and now they’re pregnant?! Crazy! I think they’re an odd couple (just mainly cause I never would picture them together) but hey, who am I to judge? Sigh, I still secretly want him and Rachel McAdams together so they can live The Notebook life forever and ever :P

Changing bank accounts is quite possibly one of the biggest pain in the butts ever. My current business checking account is now incurring a “monthly maintenance fee” starting next month so I’m in a scramble right now to move all my monies and change all my direct deposits and direct debits from one account to another. Too many logins to remember! I know, rough life.

I’m pretty much OBSESSED with this scent from Anthropologie. It is the most amazing scent ever. It’s floral, citrusy, sweet and really unique. Nothing I’ve ever smelled before. When you walk into the store, it’s all you smell and it’s so calming. I stick my nose into this candle daily and I love how it makes our living room smell. They also have it in this new swirled jar but I got in the metallic cause it looked better in our living room. Have you smelled it before? You must!!

A couple weeks ago, I mentioned I was reading One Lavender Ribbon, well I quickly devoured that and cried (obvi). It was a really great story about love and endurance. The WWII references were great, too, because it really showed you what sacrifices people made back then and how love was one gleaming hope that kept the soldiers going.

Shortly after finishing One Lavender Ribbon, I started Left Drowning when I went to the beach. Um, quite literally finished the book in a day. I could NOT put it down. If you asked anyone who was at the beach with me, I was pretty much engrossed in it all day. The main character, Blythe, is literally “left drowning” because of a tragedy that happened to her family four years prior and she has been left emotionless and barely living. Living life day to day like a zombie. Until she meets Chris. Chris ends up pulling Blythe out of the water but their deeper relationship reveals his deep dark past and how he’s still slipping and drowning as Blythe is on the mend. This book was SO well-written and I was so emotionally invested in the characters. After I finished it, I felt so sad that it was over and I just wanted more! I couldn’t read anything for a few days because I couldn’t stop thinking about Blythe and Chris. Their story and how they are tied together is seriously so beautiful and so moving. You NEEEED to read this, like I’m on my knees begging you to. It will shake up your world and you’ll probably cry like I did (or maybe not). If you have Amazon Prime, you can borrow it from their lending library for free!

IMG_5470This weekend at the beach, we tried to make the strawberry margarita jello shot on the left. It ended up turning into a strawberry margarita jello casserole. Totally NAILED IT. Haha

Ugh, I totally agree with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams! Did not expect Eva Mendes at all! Also added all those books you have been reading to my list. Thanks!
