Well, in case you missed it…it’s September and there’s like 2.5 months until Thanksgiving and 3.5 months until Christmas. C r a z y.

Anyone doing anything fun for Labor Day? We are just laying low and hanging out with the puppers. And most likely making this summer panzanella all weekend long.

    1. I’m thinking about getting a tattoo behind my ear. I have two on my wrists, one on top of my foot, and another on the side of my foot. I’m pretty sure if I can fight through the pain of the foot one (it actually didn’t hurt; I thought it tickled haha), behind the ear should be ok, right?
    2. So every two weeks, like clockwork, our Internet goes out. Every single time it’s on Verizon’s end and it’s something with the IP and their servers drop it or something. Every two weeks I spend at least an hour w/support for them to tell me it’s not them and how I have to unplug this and that and restart this and that and then at the very end, they run a test to our house and realize, ‘oh yeah, it’s us.’ EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. – it’s seriously so effing frustrating. When we move, we want to change ISP’s but have no idea which to go to because they all suck and are all monopolies. Any ideas?
    3. I am going to MEXICO in October! Omg, I am deliriously excited. I’ve never been to Mexico before and one of the places I’ll be going to is CABO. In high school, all I ever wanted to do was go to Cabo because all the Laguna Beach (the MTV show) cast went for spring break, haha
    4. I’m having trouble deciding which Kindle First book for September I want. It’s either a mystery/thriller, Blood on the Tracks or a love/family story, Who We Were Before. I’ve been reading a ton of love stories lately, finishing up the last of the Rain series a few nights ago so I might have to go with the mystery/thriller!

I have a large tattoo on the back of my neck and it hurt like hell. Seriously. I have a pretty high pain tolerance but I have a really bony neck so that might be why it hurt so much. Hopefully yours won’t be too painful!
My internet constantly goes out as well. It is so irritating especially since we use it to stream our tv.
    Go with the thriller!
    Have a great weekend Julie!

Thanks for your thoughts, Brianna! I love hearing from readers like you!

I feel for you on your internet issue. Similar problem here with AT&T, except I’ve only had to call them out a couple of times. Usually rebooting will reset it, but then it’s painfully slow — much slower than I am supposedly paying for. Would me nice if there were options!

I’m glad I’m not the only one!

My first comment ever! I’m a regular reader of your website but I had never encouraged myself until I read today that you’re coming to Mexico. It’s so great that you come to our country despite all the bad reputation that some people wants to give us.

Are you coming to somewhere else besides Cabo?
If you have a chance, please come to Monterrey (my beautiful city) to eat cabrito!! We have a gastronomy that I can assure you will not be disappointed.

    Greetings from Monterrey!

I’ll be going to Puerto Vallarata and Mazatlan as well. I’m so excited!

  • Lisa says:

I am going to Mexico in October as well! For a wedding – lets pray we can get amazing weather.

Yes, I hope so! Have fun!
