If you haven’t tried Chipotle’s new “meat” sofritas (seasoned tofu), you really need to. I’m a meat eater but the sofritas don’t make me miss the meat at all in my burrito bowl. It’s so flavorful and really filling! I was REALLY surprised when I gave it a shot and I was expected to be disappointed and go back to my regular chicken but nope, the past three times I’ve gone to Chipotle, I’ve gotten sofritas! I haven’t missed the chicken one bit :)

I have to share with you my new favorite find thanks to my friend, Kristen.

Dollar Shave Club. I hate shaving but a big part of why I hate shaving is because of the cost of razors. Like, even at Costco, a pack of like 8 razors is like $30 or something annoying. Because razors are so expensive, I don’t change them out enough and therefore, I go well over 3 months without changing a razor. I know, I know, it’s bad. What’s the deal with Dollar Shave Club? Um, basically the MOST AMAZING DISCOVERY EVER. Every month (or every other month) you get 4 razors for $6. Your first shipment comes with a razor handle and 4 razors. Then monthly, you’ll just receive 4 razors so you can change out your razors every week. Now, it’s mostly marketed towards men but the razor heads work just like my Venus razor and they’re actually way sharper. My legs are SOOO buttery smooth after every shave. And, I can actually regularly change out my razors without forking over my entire wallet. You can order extra handles so if your hubby wants to share a pack of razors with you (like, two for you, two for him), then all you’ll need is an extra handle.

Freaking amazing you guys. If you haven’t signed up for Dollar Shave Club yet, you’re missing out on a lot of smooth legs ;) and get your hubs in on it! After you sign up, you can change your frequency to every month or every other month. I changed mine to every other month because I don’t have super coarse hair that would require me to change the razors every week. You’re welcome ;) saving you money…one razor at a time ;)

I can’t stop eating this coconut peanut butter. They have both crunchy and smooth versions but I chose crunchy because I like some texture. It’s made with real coconut oil and you’d think it’s a weird combo but it’s SO good. I can’t even begin to explain to you how many spoonfuls I’ve eaten since I got the jar. It’s highly addictive. Get yourself a jar – you will thank me!

Childhood throwback right here. I ate so many bowls of this cereal when I was young. They don’t get as soggy as fast as other cereals and they really tear up the roof of your mouth but man, they’re so good!!! Do you remember them?

The bag is an understatement. I needed new work pants and I really didn’t want to spend over $100 for two pairs so I took a quick trip to LOFT one evening and was perusing their sale section. I saw these pencil straight black pants and there was just my size left so I snatched it up. Then I saw grey crops that were marked 50% off so I snatched those too. The black pair, were $35.99 but when I went to the register, it rang up $14.99 but wait…then the cashier lady told me, “oh it’s another 40% off.” I got those black pants for $9. NINE DOLLARS. Unreal. So I spent $42 for two pairs of work pants. WINNER!!

I recently finished Etched in Sand. It’s a true story of Regina Calcaterra’s childhood life in an abusive home. She’s now a successful lawyer, New York State official, and activist. Her childhood was spent in and out of foster homes and she had her bouts of homelessness with all four of her siblings. She protected and fought for them all and the story is just truly shocking and heart-wrenching. It really makes you wonder how some parents can even do such things to their children. It’s a sad story but the triumphant ending is an inspiration to all. Regina never once gave up hope and she powered through it all.

Beautifully written, with heartbreaking honesty, Etched in Sand is an unforgettable reminder that regardless of social status, the American Dream is still within reach for those who have the desire and the determination to succeed.

If you were following me on Instagram last Friday, you probably saw me allude to an event at the White House I went to. I got invited to attend the Kids’ State Dinner hosted by the First Lady. Umm, the entire experience was unreal. After the entire event, I was like, “did that really happen?”  I can’t wait to share with you all the event. It’s definitely something you want to look out for!!
