Mazatlán, Mexico with Princess Cruises

The next stop on my Mexican Riviera cruise with Princess Cruises was Mazatlán, Mexico! I truly love being able to sleep through the night on a cruise ship and waking up the next morning and seeing THIS (above) from our balcony. Is there anything sweeter?! I love that I didn’t have to do night driving or anything strenuous to get to the next location. I just let the Captain do his thang ;)

This is a post sponsored by Princess Cruises. All opinions are 100% my own.

Mazatlán, Mexico with Princess Cruises

I have never heard of Mazatlán before but I heard that it’s rich with history. You could just tell when you were walking through the streets downtown and seeing the architecture.

I will admit that Mazatlán was probably my least favorite port on this trip. BUT HEAR ME OUT.

The reason why I have such a bad impression of it is because of the day we were there. The day we were there, it was extremely hot and humid. Our rhino 4×4 excursion wasn’t until the second half of the day and we docked at port at 7am. We spent the first half of the day walking from the ship all the way into downtown…in the sun. By the time we got downtown, we were all pretty miserable and in terrible moods. We also then realized we had to walk back, haha – OMG. So, with that said, I would definitely love to give Mazatlán another chance because I’m sure it’s amazing.

However, that little snafu aside, we did have fun touring Mazatlán in our 4×4 rhino’s. The excursion is through Princess and the process, again, was seamless. Driving in the 4×4’s was basically like driving a golf cart through the city. I didn’t really feel safe in it since my driver side door kept popping open but we weren’t ever going terribly fast.

The view at the top of the mountain was certainly all worth it. It was so breezy (a nice break!) and breathtaking. I wanted to stay there all day.

Our next port: Cabo San Lucas! I can’t wait to share what we did there!
