Is it weird that I’m jumping on board with these oat snack balls late? I don’t think so because apparently I’m just always late to the game with everything and becoming entirely obsessed with them after everyone has been obsessed. It’s okay, though, these no-bake chocolate peanut butter oat snack bites are worth being late to the game. I mean, Reese’s spread as a base? Oh my goodness, you’re in for a treat!

Every day that we come home from work, I’m literally rushing around trying to get ready and out the door to get to my barre class on time. 90% of the time I’m starving and haven’t had a proper snack before jetting out the door. So I’m usually stuck in class with a grumbling stomach and I come home to an even angrier stomach. These snack bites have saved my life the past couple weeks. I really honestly don’t know why it took me so long to get on board with these. They’re the perfect size to take on the go and they’re super easy to make. I’ve actually started keeping a stash of them on hand because I feel like I’m always running out the door to some fitness thing. Whether it be barre on weeknights or SoulCycle on weekends. I grab a couple of these bites and put them in a sandwich bag and head out the door! Super convenient and filling :) no more grumbling tummy in class!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Oat Snack Bites

The perfect on-the-go snack for busy lives!
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 16

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (81 g) rolled oats
  • ½ cup (40 g) plain quick oats
  • ½ cup (112 g) REESE’S® Spread, or similar
  • cup (113 g) honey
  • ½ cup (61 g) dried cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix everything together with a wooden spoon or spatula. If it gets too tough to mix together, use your hands!
  • Using a small cookie scoop, scoop mixture into palm of your hands and roll into a ball. Place rolled ball on a plate or wax paper. Repeat until all the mixture has been used up.
  • You can store the oat bites in an airtight container on the counter for up to 5 days. They can last a bit longer if it’s stored in the fridge, but since they don’t last very long in our house, we keep them out on the counter.

  1. Can I replace Reese spread with anything else?
I live in Singapore and I can’t find it in any supermarket

  2. Please help – I’m confused! Does the recipe call for BOTH 1 cup of rolled oats AND 1/2 cup quick oats? (Total 1.5 cups oats)? I thought for some reason the Pin only mentioned the latter…thanks!

    1. Yes, it calls for BOTH. 1 cup of rolled oats AND 1/2 cup of quick oats. Total = 1.5 cups oats. Pin details are usually not correct so I would not follow those in the future and follow the recipe :)

  3. Obit a month ago you had some kind of ore treats. I can’t find I (I know have all ingredients).PLEASE republish it. I’m hungry!!!

    1. I’m not sure which treat you’re talking about. You can use the search above or you can use the drop down by month on the right side.

  4. these look like such a great, easy snack! i’ve really been wanting to try the reese’s spread…however, that could be a dangerous situation for me :)

  5. I definitely have the grumbling-tummy issue, too–especially during a test, of course. Seeing how simple these are to make, I’m pretty sure these bites will solve that problem in no time! Thanks for sharing!

  6. I hope you enjoyed an extra handful of these for me! ;) I LOVE that you added dried cranberries in there.

  7. Look like the perfect snack bites! I want to try this recipe. I really liked it. Thanks for sharing.
