No Stress Valentine’s Day Ideas

I know, I know. You’re probably going to punch me in the face because I’m already talking about Valentine’s Day, but you can’t deny the fact that it’s just around the corner {can we also talk about how fast this month has flown?}. I figured I’d bring up this topic now so you guys have enough time to prep for it and get your orders in for whatever you need!

There is always a love/hate relationship with Valentine’s Day. Some people don’t get why there is a specific day to show the person you love how much you love them. Shouldn’t that be every day? I agree with that sentiment but I also feel that you should just embrace the holiday since it’s a permanent one on the calendar. Why not get some fancy food and have a romantic date night? I’m all about that. I’m a hopeless romantic and any romantic gesture will make my heart melt. I know most everyone has kids these days but you could use this holiday as an excuse for “mommy-daddy time,” right?

So, Valentine’s Day = special occasion. Special occasion means go all out on a fancy dinner. Fancy dinner always reminds me immediately of lobster. I mean, isn’t it true? Whenever you hear someone say, “lobster” you almost immediately give the ‘brow lift and say, “oOoOo fancy!” Or at least most people associate lobster as one of those special occasion meals! I’m not Oprah, I can’t have it every night of the week!

Well guess what? This Valentine’s Day, I’m giving you ideas to celebrate with your loved one at your Table for Two ;)

Since we were just talking about lobster, I found that Harry and David has this brand new super fancy Lobster Dinner for Two available that will make any valentine of yours swoon and melt. First off, the Lobster Dinner for Two comes with two gourmet Maine lobster pot pies. It’s LOADED with chunks of lobster meat – really, they don’t skimp AT ALL like some places or restaurants might. The pot pies have this rich and creamy sherry-splashed cream sauce to envelope the lobster meat in. Looking back, I wish I ate Jason’s too ;) haha kidding! Oh, before I forget, one last thing that you need to know about these pot pies is the detail of the crust! The top crust of each pie has a pastry heart cutout that will pop up when cooked!! How cute and festive is that?!

There was a huge chunk of lobster meat in EVERY bite of our pot pie. It was funny watching Jason eat this. He’d close his eyes and savor the lobster bite.

Okay, moving on, not only do you get the dreamy pot pie, you get the rich Quattro Formaggio served in a real scallop half shell (talk about presentation!) that’s again LOADED with Maine crabmeat and a decadent cheese sauce made from four cheeses (Mascarpone, Swiss and two kinds of cheddar cheese). Top it all off, the half shells are topped with lemony herb bread crumbs. This was like Mac ‘n Cheese on crack. It was Jason’s favorite part of the meal. He couldn’t get enough of it.

I’m not done yet, you can’t forget dessert on Valentine’s Day! Within the Lobster Dinner for Two, you get a Chocolate Sin cake (who wouldn’t want to eat a dessert that’s name chocolate sin?), which is a flourless cake made of dense chocolaty goodness. It was an eye-popping experience. The second we took a bite of this we couldn’t stop. The chocolate ganache on top is so decadent and the gooey chocolatey insides were rich and everything I could want in a chocolate dessert. You’ll definitely get your chocolate fix with this cake!

I think after eating all this, Jason and I went into a lobster coma. You really won’t go wrong with this for Valentine’s Day AND you can schedule when you want this delivered (in case you want it to be a surprise and don’t want it sitting in the freezer for a week). It beats any fancy schmancy restaurant lobster special.
