Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas

What Are Pork Carnitas?

This easy, slow cooker recipe features tender meat, balanced with bold flavors, and perfect to serve in a multitude of ways including tacos and burritos!

Simple Ingredients

Mix the Seasonings

In a bowl, mix together all of the seasonings.

Add Olive Oil

Then stir in 2 TBSP of olive oil.

Season the Pork

Rub this mixture all over the pork, then place it in the slow cooker.

Add to Crockpot

Squeeze orange and lime juices all over the meat and toss them in the crockpot, along with jalapenos and onions.

Slow Cook the Pork

Cook on high for 8 hours.

Shred the Pork

Let the roast rest and cool for 10 minutes on a cutting board. Then, shred it with 2 forks.

Caramelize the Pork

Place olive oil in a skillet and heat over high heat. Fry the pork in batches until all meat has been seared.
