Instructions
In a measuring cup, whisk together garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, water, and rice vinegar. Pour mixture into a shallow container then lay salmon filets, flesh-side down, into the marinade. Let marinade for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, line the basket of your air fryer with parchment paper then preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 °F (204 °C)
Once the salmon is finished marinating, place salmon flesh-side up on top of the parchment paper in the air fryer basket.
Set air fryer to 400 °F (204 °C) for 7 minutes, adjust for longer if your salmon filets are thicker.
While the salmon is cooking, pour marinade into a small saucepan and whisk in the cornstarch. Bring to a simmer on the stovetop and let simmer until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
When salmon is done, carefully remove and plate. Brush teriyaki sauce generously on top and sprinkle furikake on top. Serve with white rice.
