Taco Bell's iconic Crunchwrap Supreme made at home! A soft flour tortilla filled with meat, hot sauce, queso, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and a crunchy tostada!
Queso(I used one that had jalapeño pieces in it to give it an extra kick)
Hot sauce
4tostadas
Instructions
In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef while breaking apart into small pieces with a spatula or wooden spoon.
Once ground beef has browned and broken into small pieces, add onion, garlic, and seasonings.
Stir to incorporate then add tomato juice and cornmeal. Stir to mix together and let simmer for 10 minutes until mixture starts to tighten up.
Remove from heat and start an assembly line. Heat up a small skillet over medium heat.
Warm up the flour tortillas for 20 seconds in the microwave. Place on a flat surface. Put a thin layer of ground beef mixture into the center of the tortilla then spread around.
Next, layer on queso, cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, diced tomatoes, lettuce, and finally end with the tostada on top.
Gather up the sides of the flour tortilla and fold them in towards the tostada. Place the Crunchwrap tostada/seam side DOWN into the skillet and let brown and "seal" for 4-5 minutes.
Repeat until all four have been made. Eat warm and enjoy!
Notes
You can make your own tostadas by taking corn tortillas (regular-sized) and toasting them in the oven or on the stovetop in a skillet with a little bit of oil. Honestly, I feel that nothing will get you that crispy crunch like buying store-bought tostadas but if you're in a pinch and cannot find it, try making them at home.
