Make the Dough

Combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, flour, egg, melted butter, and salt in a stand mixer. Mix for 7-19 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let It Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rise until doubled in size.

Roll the Dough

Punch down the dough, transfer it to a floured surface, and roll it into a half-inch thick rectangle.

Fold in Half

Fold the dough in half lengthwise.
