What Are Cream Cheese Brownies?

This easy recipe is made up of chocolate chip-loaded brownie batter and sweetened cream cheese swirled together to make the perfect dream of a dessert.

Simple Ingredients

Mix Dry Ingredients

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cocoa powder, and espresso powder.

Make the Batter

Melt the butter over medium heat and whisk in sugar. Whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, and remaining sugar.

Add the Chocolate

Whisk the egg mixture into the butter mixture. Stir in the dry ingredients and fold in the chocolate chips.


Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour all but 1/3-1/2 cup of the batter into baking dish and pour cream cheese mixture over it.

Add Brownie Batter

Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake mixture. Use a toothpick to swirl the two batters together.

Bake and Cool

Bake the cream cheese brownies. Then allow them to cool in the pan before slicing.
