Fried Garlic and Red Pepper Olive Oil Pasta (Pasta Aglio E Olio)
A super simple pasta dish that has loads of flavor and smells amazing! You will be a fan of this from the start!
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) dried bucatini pasta
- 1 cup (237 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 12 large garlic cloves cut into thin slivers
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 cup (60 g) fresh parsley minced
- ½ cup (50 g) parmesan cheese freshly grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil then add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions.1 pound dried bucatini pasta
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the garlic cloves and let sizzle and cook for 2-3 minutes, careful not to burn it. Then add the crushed red pepper flakes. Reduce heat to medium-low.1 cup extra virgin olive oil, 12 large garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Once the pasta has finished cooking, drain well then add to the skillet and toss to coat. Add the parsley, cheese, salt, and pepper and toss until well-coated and everything distributed evenly.1 cup fresh parsley, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, Salt and pepper
- Serve in generous portions.
