Holiday Rice Krispies
These rice krispie treats dressed up with chocolate and crushed peppermint candies are perfect for the holidays!

Ingredients
- 6 tablespoon (84 g) butter
- 1 bag of large marshmallows
- 5-6 cups (135 g) rice cereal
- 1 cup (236 g) mini M&M's
- 1 cup (180 g) chocolate chips melted
- 1 cup (236 g) crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Instructions
- In a large pot, melt butter. Add in marshmallows and stir to melt them. Remove from heat after marshmallows have melted.6 tablespoon butter, 1 bag of large marshmallows
- Pour the rice cereal into the marshmallow mixture. If you prefer more marshmallow, then add only 5 cups.5-6 cups rice cereal
- Stir the mixture to get all the rice cereal coated with the marshmallow. Then gently stir in 1 cup of mini M&M's.1 cup mini M&M's
- Dump entire mixture into a non-stick 9x13 baking pan. Using the back of a spatula, gently press the mixture down until the top is nice and even. Place in fridge to cool faster.
- Using Christmas cutouts, cut out shapes and set aside.
- Melt chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring after every 30 seconds until completely melted.1 cup chocolate chips
- Dip half of the rice krispy treat in the melted chocolate then immediately sprinkle peppermint candies on top. Lay rice krispy treats on a flat surface (covered with wax or parchment paper) to dry.1 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
- Store in an airtight container.
