Preheat the oven to 350 °F (177 °C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Cream the butter, white and brown sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy then add the egg and whisk again to combine.

In a separate large bowl whisk the flour, apple pie seasoning, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt together then add it to the wet ingredients.
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon apple pie spice, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ⅛ teaspoon salt
Stir it together then add the apples and stir once again to combine.
1 ½ cup peeled and diced granny smith apples
Press the mixture into the prepared baking pan then bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until light and golden on top and a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center.
Let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
