Hi, friend! I reserved a seat at the table just for you. Let’s get you settled in!
If you’re new here, the links below will familiarize you with me and what this website is all about.
Allow me to clarify the #1 comment I get:
I was under the impression that “table for two” would be about recipes for 2 people.
Yes, the recipes are for two people, not two servings. Servings aren’t universal. Two people could be light eaters or hearty eaters; leftovers are common (and encouraged), and my recipes scale up or down easily with a click of a button. Anchoring the meaning of my whole blog on serving size is both restrictive and not my vibe.
The name Table for Two isn’t about portion sizes; it’s about perspective. It signals intimacy, connection, and the shared experience of gathering around food. Just like a restaurant host uses ‘table for two’ to set the stage for a meaningful evening, this blog sets the stage for recipes for real life. It’s about the feeling of being invited to sit down together and enjoy each other’s company and make memories. It’s not the math of how many servings are on the plate.
