Working in the nation’s capital has its perks sometimes.
We rarely have movies or TV shows shooting here because well, logistically and financially, it’s a pain. Apparently permits are hard to obtain (with reason) and taxes and production costs here are outrageous. Logistically, you probably want to have all your equipment trucks around the city but it’s near impossible to find parking and you can’t drive a truck next to the White House or the Secret Service go ballistic on you (again, with reason).
SO. When we finally spot a movie or TV show shooting in DC we naturally get very giddy. And when it’s right next to your office building, you get even more giddy.
AND when it’s a hugely popular show…(House of Cards, anyone?) you naturally freak out too because well. Kevin Spacey. Robin Wright.
Now, let’s not even pretend I actually like the show. GASP. Yeah, I couldn’t get into it, like I’ve mentioned in the past, BUT I can appreciate everyone’s obsession and Jason’s addiction so I went on a stroll and snapped some photos of them filming! I got there right when the “President” limo was pulling up to the building to drop off, well, I presume the prez. I then saw all this film crew with HOC hats, camera tracks, lighting equipment, and all these temporary barricades.
“Photos or it didn’t happen” – here you go. So neat, huh?!
I love Stacy’s pita chips. Like I can eat an entire bag of it in one sitting kinda love. BUT I don’t like how much is actually in one bag :( or maybe it’s cause I eat way too much of it? Haha
Anyway, so I’ve made homemade seasoned pita chips before but I’ve never shared the recipe! Silly me. I’ve been holding out on this delicious goodness from you for too long. They’re REALLY easy to make and they make for a great snack and you can impress your friends when you have them over for some hummus, kopanisti, chorizo pimento dip, and more fun dips!
