Well, it’s official. We have a ratified contract and we are officially building a house!! Exciting and crazy times ahead. I can’t wait to blog about this entire process; the ups, the downs, and everything in between! In the next 30 days, we will be meeting with our structural designer to go over the structure of the house and see if there’s anything we need to change i.e. layout of cabinets, size of room, etc. Then, in a couple months, we get to meet the interior designers to pick out all our finishes. We know exactly what we want so hopefully there won’t be a ton of this and that decisions. Although, I’m pretty sure there will be little stuff like, “would you like this door handle to have a swirl detail or a filigree detail?” haha
So now that we decided to build a house and we aren’t going to be moving for another year or more, I pulled the trigger on an espresso machine and I’ve been making lattes every single day. My recent favorite is this honey cream latte. I had a version of this at a local coffee shop and I love the subtle honey and floral notes. It’s slightly sweet and it compliments the espresso so well.
I’m not a pro on the foam so I used the Nespresso Aeroccino+. To be honest, I probably will always use the Nespresso Aeroccino+ for all my foam. It’s so easy to use and I get perfectly warm milk and lots of foam in less than 30 seconds. I put it in the canister, press a button, and foam in 30 seconds! Jason loves using it too :) he has found a way to make it so it warms his milk but gives slightly less foam since he doesn’t want it mile high like I do :)
Behold, my new favorite latte, the honey cream latte. Go make yourself some and prepare to fall in love!
Look at that foam!! Thanks Nespresso :)

I love honey with cinnamon with my latte. But pure honey is also great!
Honey is so good in a latte. Love that cup and saucer too!
Your photos are beautiful and nice recipe
Thanks! :)
I wish I had this to enjoy with my breakfast today!!
Congrats on the house! I am sure you’ll have a great time (with some minor frustrations in between)! Can’t wait to follow the progress… I love that sorta thing.
Congratulations on your new home, how exciting! I must say your photos are giving me serious foam envy :)
This looks fantastic! I must get a Nepresso Areoccino! The foam is the best part of a latte in my opinion! Congrats on the new house!
Thank you! And yes, mile high foam is the best ;)
