I remember when I was in grade school and after school I’d go over to my friend’s house and sometimes the parents would be stunned with the amount of kids that were invited over. If that’s you, these pizza muffins are the perfect snack solution for the “my kid just invited a bunch of kids over to the house without letting me know first”!

When you have a kitchen full of hungry kids staring at you, there’s one thing you can make that’s so much better than tossing them a bag of Goldfish – pizza muffins! If they’re eager, they can even help you make these! The fluffy crescent roll dough is the perfect base for the pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices. All together, you get all the flavors you love about pizza, but in a one-bite portable snack.

While they’re ideal for an after school snack, they also double as the perfect party appetizer for all your grown-up friends as well! After all, no one really ever outgrows their love of pizza, right? And yes, these bad boys pair pretty perfectly with mozzarella sticks and a smoked buffalo chicken dip!

Recipe Tips and Variations

  • Pizza muffins are so versatile! There is no rule saying you have to make these pepperoni pizza muffins. They can be all cheese, sausage, or even a veggie supreme. Pretend it’s a pizza and top it with whatever toppings you feel would be delicious!
  • Make sure you are buying the crescent dough sheets and not the crescent rolls.
  • Add a little cooking spray to the muffin tins before putting the dough into them to ensure an easy and stick-free lift!

Storage and Reheating Instructions

In an airtight container in the refrigerator, these pizza muffins will stay fresh for about 3 days. To reheat them, pop them either into the toaster oven for just a few minutes, or your air fryer. I don’t recommend using the microwave, as that will zap the texture of the crescent roll dough and make it more limp.
