We finally found a new show to watch! The Man in the High Castle on Amazon Prime. I love WWII stuff and this show is shot in the perspective of the United States losing the war and the Germans and Japanese control the United States. So half the United States is under German control and the other half is under Japanese control. It just blows my mind to even think that way but it’s such a cool concept and so far the episodes have been so addicting.

Along with finding a new show to binge watch, I am loving creating new drink recipes this summer. I feel like all I want this summer is to throw seasonal fruits into a refreshing drink. I am currently obsessing over this flavor combo: lemon ginger peach spritzer.

It’s got a bit of bubbly but it also has all that lemon and spicy kick pairing along with the sweetness of the peach. After all, it’s peach season and any excuse to use this sweet fruit is a good enough excuse for me!

So I did go a bit hipster with this and made it with a lemon ginger kombucha. I know, I know. You’re probably totally eye-rolling because you don’t get the kombucha fad but I really do love it. It’s a light and refreshing afternoon drink for when you want that subtle hint of sweetness but don’t want to totally go overboard and blow your daily sugar intake. Plus, I love the vinegary taste and the probiotic benefit.

There are kombuchas out there though (specifically Kevita and Health-Ade) that are more fruity and you can’t even taste the vinegar. If you’re sensitive to that vinegar taste, I would suggest that you opt for one of those brands. However, like I mentioned earlier, I love my vinegary flavor so I always grab GTS brand.

Anyway! You basically throw peaches into a blender and blend it all into a puree of sort and then pour into glasses and top with kombucha and lemon slices. Oh, and lots of crushed ice because it’s the best. I am not a fan of cubed ice and our refrigerator in our new house doesn’t come with a ice dispenser that crushes ice. It just comes with a big bin. I’m so annoyed that I didn’t realize this before. I have to manually crush ice now with a blender or in a plastic bag with a rolling pin.

I know, total first world problems over here. Haha
