Strawberry Mojitos are refreshing, fruity, and just sweet enough to make you smile! These easy to make summery cocktails are perfect for serving at parties or for sipping on after a long day in the sun. If you love the natural flavors of strawberries and mint leaves, this is the drink for you!
Strawberry Mojitos are a go-to summertime cocktail for me! When I’m hosting a little get together or a full blown party, these are one of the cocktails I love serving. I mean, whenever the muddler is involved, you know you’re showing off a little bit… as you should!
Despite my desire to impress my friends with my muddling abilities, these fruity mojitos are so very easy to make. The actual reason I love muddling the strawberries and mint leaves here is because then you get the real, natural flavors of those ingredients, as opposed to the artificial flavors you’d get from a flavored simple syrup or liqueur.
There is a little homemade simple syrup here that enhances the sweetness of the strawberries, but it’s just enough to do that – enhance. I can’t stand overly sweet drinks, which is why the simple syrup here is more complimentary than overpowering. There’s also just enough rum to detect (and enjoy) without it being too strong. However, if it’s just not cutting it, go ahead and make a double. I won’t judge!
What You’ll Need:
- Sugar – This and the water is all you need to make your own simple syrup.
- Water
- Strawberries – Use fresh, not frozen strawberries for the best results.
- Mint Leaves – Use fresh mint leaves that don’t have and wilted spots or discoloration.
- Rum – For this recipe, light rum is best. Try to use a good quality rum to really enhance the overall quality of the drink.
- Lime Juice – FRESH LIME JUICE ONLY! This mojito is made with fresh berries and fresh mint leaves, so be sure to not use lime juice from a plastic bottle.
- Sparkling Water – Club soda also work.

Make the simple syrup. Combine the sugar and water in a pot over medium heat. Once the sugar’s dissolved, let it cool.
Muddle. Muddle the strawberries, mint leaves, and lime juice at the bottom of a glass.
Sweeten it. Once muddled, add the simple syrup to the glass.
Add the rest of the ingredients. Pour in the rum, ice cubes, and sparkling water. Garnish, then enjoy!
Common Questions
Can I use vodka instead? Sure thing! If you like vodka more than rum, go for it. Mixology purists will say it’s not really a mojito, but it’s your kitchen – live your life!
Can I make a pitcher of Strawberry Mojitos? Yes, but you may still want to muddle the mint, lime, and berries individually so all of the glasses have the same amount of fruity, fresh flavor.

Instructions
- In a small pot, make simple syrup by combining sugar and water together and melting over medium heat until all the sugar has dissolved. Set aside and let cool.
- In four 10-ounce glasses, place 3 strawberry pieces in each glass and add 2-3 mint leaves on top. Juice about a tsp. of lime juice into each glass. Using the back of a spoon, gently mull the strawberries, mint, and lime juice together until the strawberries and mint begin to macerate. simply pretty!!!!
Pretty sure I’ve fallin’ in love with these! Gorgeous!
I used to be that same way. I can totally rock lunch by myself anywhere, but I will admit I bury myself in my phone sometimes. I haven’t done it for dinner though. Baby steps…tee hee! I’ll take two of these mojitos please. Anything strawberry and I’m in!
Loving these berry much , DOH! I need some recs from you on Turks and Caicos, we’re going for Thanksgiving.
OK firstly, STUNNING photos, dear! Seriously, I want to swim in those mojitos. :)
Secondly, I totally hear you on the eating alone thing. I’m OK with it if it’s a fast food place but at a real restaurant, heck no. I don’t know why it works that way for me, but it does!
I’ve been the same way – doing things alone always felt weird but now it’s enjoyable…. because most of the time I’m never alone so those few moments are a nice change of pace. Also – I love that we both did strawberry recipes today! Love this. :)
Gorgeous photos!
JULIE! Oh my gosh these photos are simply gorgeous. I want to reach right through my monitor and slurp down a mojito. At 8am.
To be honest I love to eat by myself. Especially in a public places. It gives me a moment to observe people and their behaviors. It makes me feel like a little spy form time to time, hahaha. I can’t wait for strawberries to be everywhere around. So far it’s a bit too pricy, but in 2 weeks, it will be reasonable, sweet, and perfect for this mojito.
I really like your blog. It’s like spinning the wheel, and you never know what comes up! I too, like strawberries and have a bowl in the fridge. but, I must try this, looks delicious . I had white sangria over the weekend and that is on my to do list. Thanks.
