Yeast + Quick Breads

I used to be intimidated with yeast. Anything that required baking with yeast, I’d run the other way. However, the more I practiced, the easier it got and I realized there is nothing intimidating about baking with yeast! If it’s your first time baking with yeast, try these soft pretzels or homemade bagels.

Quick breads, on the other hand, are still some of my favorites because they require no yeast and they only use leavening agents like baking soda and baking powder to rise. My favorite quick breads include this delightfully bright orange and pistachio bread, chocolate cinnamon bread, and a classic banana bread.
